  • WELCOME!

I'm Melissa and I'm a photographer located in the beautiful Fraser Valley of BC.

Some key facts you must know about me: I love the color pink, I'm an early riser, I'm an avid (white) wine drinker especially on stormy nights (something romantic about it), I love bubble baths, going for a nice long walk and most of all, I love spending time with my family!

I hope you stick around and get to know me and fall in love with my work! I can't wait to get to know you!

The Kasikci Family :: Portraits | Fraser Valley Lifestyle Photographer

A couple of years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Lana and her two boys when we did a cake smash for Tanner. Since then, Tanner and his parents have welcomed a new little guy into their family (Kesler) and it was time to update their family portraits.

Phew. This session made me TIRED. Tanner is a go getter and he pretty much kept me on my feet the whole time. But he made it fun … I had a blast chasing after him and when I was able to catch a smile on his face it made my running after him worthwhile.

Kesler is adorable and sweet. Because he’s not quite as mobile yet it much easier to capture his cute little smile. He was happy cuddling with Mama & Daddy most of the time but he sure looks up to his big brother – and my bet is that the next time we do a session, I’ll be chasing him around the park!:)

Thank you so much for spending part of your weekend with me! It was so nice to see you and meet your new addition! Next session for this family – Kesler’s July Cake Smash! FUN!

Digby :: Our New Addition | Fraser Valley Lifestyle Photographer

As everyone already knows, our dear Ben passed away 2.5 weeks ago. It was a moment we never expected to happen and it broke our hearts. I can honeslty say, that as a family, this is the biggest loss we’ve all experienced together and it was a horrible feeling. I really have to say THANK YOU to all of you too – your kind words during this time were very nice to read!

Ben came to us and was a true blessing. He taught us to love dogs – and he showed us what a difference they can make in our lives. As soon as he passed it was decided that eventually, we wanted another one.

We didn’t expect it to happen as fast as it did …. but when things just fall into place it’s a sign. We met Digby and knew he would be the perfect addition, and although we know we can never replace Ben, he brings  peace (and craziness) into our lives again!

Meet Digby.

He’s pretty darn cute. He’s also A LOT of work – I forgot what it was like to have a puppy! Thankfully, we’ve all teamed together and it’s been a fun process so far!

I’m warning you ahead of time, I’ll probably post a lot of pictures of him – it’s really hard to keep my camera put away when I see his cute face. And if you follow me on Instsagram, I apologize for spamming you with Digby pictures there too!

Daniel & Rossy :: Engaged | Surrey, BC Wedding Photographer

Quite a few months ago I received an email form Rossy indicating that she wanted to book a session with me to celebrate her recent engagement to Daniel. These two lovebirds met at work and although they know longer work together, they’ll soon be spending the rest of their lives together!

Right away, I knew I liked them. They wanted to do something a little different and head up to a local mountain to get some snowy pictures – HOW FUN! The main reason for wanting some winter pictures was because they are having a destination wedding (in Mexico – how fun!!!) and what a better way to offset the sunny picture they’ll get taken then. Sadly, the on and off again weather dampened our plans and we never actually made it up there.

At this point I had offered to refund Rossy as I knew we weren’t going to get exactly what she wanted – to my delight she replied and said that her and Daniel had discussed it and they still wanted to shoot their session and they were now wanting a beach session. I LOVE beach sessions! And I LOVE that decided to still keep me as their photographer.

We met this past weekend and I had so much fun with them. They were easy going, clearly in love (with each other and their sweet dog, Dino) and willing to just have fun and be in the moment.

Thank you SO much for spending the evening with me and letting me share this special time in your lives!

XOXO

Drew & Tania :: Engagement | White Rock Wedding Photographer

My first engagement session of 2012 … and to say it as a success is an understatement!

I met Drew & Tania last year and I immediately clicked with them. They’re fun, sweet and clearly in LOVE!

Tania told me as soon as we met that she was dying to do her session at the beach. We did just that – thankfully, it wasn’t raining and they even ventured into the COLD, COLD water!

Here are some of my favourites from their session:

It was SO awesome hanging out with you guys today and I seriously can’t wait for your special day!
